MEET ASHLEY.
I believe in creating an empathetic, trauma-informed space that allows the therapeutic relationship to flourish. There are many ways to explore yourself in therapy and my intention is to provide a safe space for clients of all identities to explore who they are and who they want to become.

I created my space to feel warm and welcoming. I am drawn to the mid-century and southwest aesthetic, which I incorporate throughout my office. I collaborate with the art curator at Lasso Gallery to have new artwork bi-monthly in my waiting room.

THE TEXAS PANHANDLE
and what it means to me.
Returning to the Panhandle to provide therapy holds a deeply personal significance for me. While practicing as a therapist in Chicago, I felt a calling to come back to Texas in 2020 and open my private practice. My upbringing in California shaped me, but frequent visits to see family in Texas instilled in me a sense of belonging and fascination with the rugged beauty of the Panhandle. When I first lived here from 2009-2011, I hadn't grown in the ways I needed to be open to the Panhandle and found myself feeling overwhelmed and unprepared for the challenges of the region. However, upon my return in 2020 there was a sense of clarity and a newfound appreciation for the complexities of the Panhandle.
The Panhandle's harsh environment mirrors the resilience and toughness of its inhabitants. There's a raw, wild quality to life here, evoking images of the Wild West, where rules are different and the spirit of independence thrives. Yet amidst this ruggedness lies a unique beauty and openness, symbolized by the vast expanses of sky and land. It's a place that reflects back both the stark realities and the boundless possibilities of life.
However, living in the Panhandle comes with its challenges, and mental health struggles are prevalent. The harsh conditions, coupled with socio-economic factors such as limited access to resources and healthcare, can exacerbate feelings of isolation, despair, and hopelessness. As someone intentionally planning roots in this community, I am deeply committed to providing support and connection to individuals navigating these challenges. Opening my private practice here is both a reflection of my personal journey and a commitment to addressing the mental health needs of this resilient community.
